WHA Drop/Add/Withdraw Petition

Please use this form to drop, add, or withdraw from a course in the Wesleyan Honors Academy (WHA) program. The university's Academic Petition process will be used to review these registration requests. Please note the descriptions and limitations of each process indicated below:

Dropping a course

To drop a course, you must do so before the drop deadline which is the same as the regular registration deadline or you may drop after that date if the reason is associated with the ACE scholarship process. Dropping a course allows for a removal of any charges. Your instructor must approve a late drop.

Adding a course

If your instructor agrees, you may add a course after the late registration period has passed, but before the end of the high school class, for one of the following reasons:

  1. You were incapacitated at the time of regular and late registration and could not complete the process at that time.
  2. Your family was having financial difficulties at the time of registration that have been resolved.
  3. You were waiting to see which college you would attend which influenced whether the course was appropriate for you to complete.

Adding a course late will mean that you will be billed the regular amount of the course plus a $15 late fee and you will not be supplied with a t-shirt or an NWU ID card. Please be sure to submit payment immediately after the bill is received in the mail. After December 1 for classes ending in December and after May 1 for classes ending in May or June, you are no longer eligible to add a WHA course.

Withdrawing from a course

You may withdraw from a WHA course between the course registration deadline and before December 1 for courses ending in December; and before May 1 for courses ending in May. You will still have the financial obligation for the course.
