We are excited for the inauguration of President Darrin S. Good on Friday, October 4, 2019, and are honored to have you participate as a representative of your institution. Below is an overview of the events and logistics for the day. Details on the academic procession and other inauguration information will be emailed prior to the event.

All delegates in the academic procession are expected to wear academic attire. If you do not have a cap and gown, please work with the school or organization you are representing to secure the necessary academic regalia.
Breakfast for delegates and guests
All delegates and their guests are invited to join President Good prior to the ceremony for a private breakfast. The breakfast is in Great Hall in the Smith-Curtis Classroom and Administration Building at 8:30 a.m.
If you plan to attend the breakfast for delegates and their guests, please check in at the northeast entrance of Acklie Hall of Science between 8 and 8:15 a.m. with your academic attire. You may keep your regalia in our secure robing room until robing begins at 9:45 a.m. Student guides will direct you to the breakfast.
If you are not attending the breakfast, please check in at the northeast entrance of Acklie Hall of Science between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. with your academic regalia. Volunteers will direct you to a secure robing room.
Robing begins at 9:45 a.m. We ask you to be robed no later than 10 a.m. to help us assure the appropriate order of the academic procession. You may leave your personal possessions in the robing rooms, as they are staffed during all inauguration events.
Academic procession line-up
Each delegate has an assigned position in the procession according to the year of founding of the institution. Nebraska Wesleyan staff members are available to assist you. The inaugural procession forms at 10 a.m. and leaves for O’Donnell Auditorium at 10:20 a.m. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m., and we anticipate a noon conclusion.
Celebration on Taylor Commons
We invite all guests to join us immediately following the inauguration ceremony for the celebration on Taylor Commons at noon. Enjoy street food from around the world and performances by campus and local musical groups.
Getting to Nebraska Wesleyan University
Maps are available to guide you to the Nebraska Wesleyan campus and reserved parking. The GPS address for the inaugural ceremony is Vance D. Rogers Center for Fine Arts, Huntington Ave., Lincoln NE 68504.
Reserved parking is held for college and university delegates in nearby parking lots. Follow the signs and volunteers. Refer to the campus map for reserved lots: the lot on the west side of Vance D. Rogers Center for Fine Arts (Building 16), the lot across 50th Street from Rogers (south of building M), the lot behind Acklie Hall of Science (Building 9).
Shuttle services run on a continuous loop from reserved parking lots to inaugural events beginning at 7:45 a.m. Volunteers are at the shuttle stops to assist you.
