Purpose of this policy

To ensure compliance with campus health and safety guidelines related to COVID-19 (coronavirus).

Application of this policy

This policy applies to all students while on campus.

Policy statement

Attending Nebraska Wesleyan University requires that all students:

  • Wear a mask properly over their nose and mouth in NWU classrooms and buildings;
  • Wear a mask properly over their nose and mouth outdoors on campus when in proximity to others;
  • Check their temperature before going to class and stay home if they have a fever over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or 1.5 degrees more than their usual body temperature;
  • Notify the University (studentlife [at] if you are instructed by a medical provider, contact tracer, or from test results to quarantine or self-isolate.
  • Adhere to any instructions related to quarantine or isolation that you have received from campus employees, test result notifications, contact tracing, or a medical provider.
  • Practice CDC recommended hand-washing;
  • Maintain social distancing guidelines by keeping 6 feet distancing inside and outside.

All students will be held accountable for following these regulations and failure to follow these requirements may result in disciplinary action.

Exemptions from this policy

This policy is in effect until campus health and safety measures related to COVID-19 (coronavirus) are modified.

Compliance with this policy

Compliance with this policy will be enforced under the Student Code of Conduct.
