Nebraska Wesleyan's 128th commencement was held Saturday, May 6. Nearly 500 undergraduate and graduate degrees were awarded.

NWU Confers Nearly 500 Degrees

Nebraska Wesleyan University awarded degrees to 489 undergraduate and graduate students at its 128th commencement on Saturday, May 6.

Antwan Wilson, Chancellor of Washington D.C. Public Schools and Nebraska Wesleyan alumnus, delivered the commencement address. He was presented with an Honorary Doctor of Pedagogy degree. Honorary degrees was also presented to James P. Abel, chairman and CEO of NEBCO, Inc., Honorary Doctor of Laws degree, and Marilyn Moore, retired president of Bryan College of Health Sciences, Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.

Members of the Acklie family are the first to sign a beam to the Duane W. Acklie Hall of Science.

Nebraska Wesleyan University broke ground Tuesday, April 4 on a new science center named after a cherished member of the Lincoln community who was known for his service, entrepreneurship and philanthropy.

Members of Global Service Learning traveled to Guatemala for their annual international service trip. While there they collaborated with the nonprofit organization, Constru Casa, to build basic housing for those living in extreme poverty.

Nebraska Wesleyan University has announced its academic honors list for students enrolled in the adult program for the spring semester of the 2016-2017 academic year.

Nebraska Wesleyan’s adult program provides nontraditional students the opportunity to earn a college degree while pursuing a career.

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.75 on a 4.00 scale.

The spring academic honors list has been announced for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The list includes 443 students.

Nebraska Wesleyan University has announced its Academic Honors List for the spring semester of the 2016-2017 academic year.

A student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.75 (on a 4.00 scale) for 12 or more hours of coursework to qualify for the list.
