Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Nebraska Wesleyan University invites applications for a one-year visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology position beginning August 2022. The area of expertise is open. Nebraska Wesleyan, located in Lincoln, the capital city of Nebraska, is a nationally recognized undergraduate liberal arts institution with approximately 2,000 students and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Responsibilities

We seek applicants with a commitment to high quality undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts setting. Area of specialization is open. Applicants should be prepared to teach courses in at least two of the following areas: social, cultural, neuroscience, cognitive, research methods, statistics. The typical departmental teaching load is three courses per semester (4 credit courses). 

Qualifications
  • Have received a doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution by August 2022 or is near completion.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to engaging, innovative, and evidence-informed teaching incorporating diverse instructional methods.
  • Have a teaching philosophy that incorporates equity, diversity, and inclusion.
