Fall International Film Series: "Tanna"
Olin B Lecture Hall

Nebraska Wesleyan's Department of Modern Languages kicks off its inaugural Fall International Film Series with the 2016 Australian drama, "Tanna."

Set on a remote Pacific island, covered in rain forest and dominated by an active volcano, this heartfelt story — enacted by the Yakel tribe — tells of a sister's loyalty, a forbidden love affair and the pact between the old ways and news.

This movie premiered at the Venice Film Festival where it won the Audience Award and Best Cinematography prize.

The film is 104 minutes and is not rated.

The Fall International Film Festival is free and open to the public. Olin B Lecture Hall is located in the Olin Hall of Science, one block east of 50th Street and St. Paul Ave.
