Background: 

Nikki Morrison enters her first season as a member of the NWU volleyball coaching staff. She joins the NWU volleyball staff after spending the past two seasons as a graduate assistant at Lakeland College in Wisconsin.

Morrison enjoyed a standout playing career at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., where she was one of the top players in NCAA III. She was a three-time AVCA All-American earning First-Team All-America honors during her junior and senior seasons. As a senior, Morrison was named the UAA Player-of-the-Year, was the National Player-of-the-Week and surpassed 1,000 career kills to end her career 10th on the all-time charts with 1,276 kills. During her junior season in 2007, Morrison guided the Bears to the NCAA III National Championship. She was also a three-time All-UAA performer.

The Lincoln, Neb., native earned her bachelor’s degree from Washington University then earned a Master’s in counseling with emphasis in higher education from Lakeland College. Morrison is a graduate of Lincoln Pius High School where she was a standout in volleyball.
