Alex Linden

Alex Linden was named the Sports Information Director at Nebraska Wesleyan in December 2007. Linden is responsible for a wide range of duties, including media relations, production of athletics publications, statistical record keeping, website administration of NWU's nwusports.com athletics website and promotion of student-athletes for conference and national honors.
At NWU his publications have earned nine national awards from the NAIA Sports Information Directors Association (NAIA-SIDA), including three Best in Nation citations for cover design during the 2009-10 season.
Linden returns to his alma mater from Mitchell, S.D. where he was the sports information director at Dakota Wesleyan University for three seasons. While at DWU, Linden’s 2005-06 basketball media guide was voted seventh in the nation and his 2006 football media guide ranked fifth. Linden took the position as sports information director at Dakota Wesleyan University after spending two years as the assistant sports information director at NCAA Division II Pittsburg State University in Kansas where he served as the primary contact for volleyball, women’s basketball and softball.
Linden, a Holdrege, Neb., native, earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2003 and worked in the NWU sports information office as a student assistant during his senior year. He was also a three-year member of the Nebraska Wesleyan football team.
