Academic Requirements

Nebraska Wesleyan University uses a broad, comprehensive process to review and select applicants. We look at many factors with no one component of the application singled out as most important. We examine the rigor of the college you attended and the difficulty level of the classes you took.

  • Must be in good standing at your current college or university.
  • Must have at least a 2.00 GPA.

Transferring Credit

  • Four-Year Institutions: NWU accepts credit for courses with a C- or above.
  • Two-Year Institutions (community and vocational colleges)
    • Credits are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
    • NWU requires a minimum grade of C- or above.
    • No more than 64 semester credit hours can transfer.
    • To view Nebraska community college courses that may transfer to NWU:
      1. Go to WebAdvisor and select the college or university you wish to review from the 'Select A College' drop down menu.
  • See also Baccalaureate Degree Checklist on page 47 of the 2009–2011 NWU Course Catalog.
  • After accepted, the NWU Registrar will determine which credits will transfer.
  • After accepting admission, students receive the housing form with their acceptance letter.  The student determines their off campus or on campus housing option and sends in the form with a $400 tuition deposit.
  • Transfer students are accomodated for campus housing after admissions receives the housing form.
