The Federal Perkins Loan program provides low-interest loans to assist students who demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA.  The amount of the loan is variable, and is not automatically renewable each year.  Interest (5% fixed) and repayment begins nine months after graduation or after the student is no longer enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours).  The loan is repayable to Nebraska Wesleyan University.  Borrowers who undertake certain public, military, or teaching service employment are eligible to have all or part of their loans canceled.
