REGIONAL ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR
Directed daily operations of 17-county regional office – oversee staff, coordinate three streams of health services (hospice, skilled home health care, and non-medical home health services. Build and foster key referral partnerships, outreach programs to communities, and promote marketing efforts in role as spokesperson.
 Maintained four sub-regional offices, including downsizing and re-locating one sub-regional office.
 Grew referral sources by 15 percent through personal relationship building and expanded marketing efforts.

Southeast Nebraska Area Health Education Center, Beatrice, Nebraska 2006 to 2010
Non-profit health education organization with focus on recruiting/retaining health care professionals.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Spearheaded daily operations – oversee staff, control finances, and author grant submissions. Administer budgets (ended tenure under budget) and drive development/implementation of strategies and programs to support organizational goals. Directed implementation of federal contracts that provided assistance to health profession students doing required community-based clinical rotations, while controlling a $450K budget. Authored, reviewed, and edited internal documents and published materials, and led cross-functional teams in a variety of initiatives – developed project plans/schedules, assigned resources, and delivered presentations to senior leaders. Advanced new opportunities by driving business development efforts, oversaw creation of proposals and served as liaison for key customer relationships.
 Boosted efforts to attract high-quality health profession students by implementing a statewide assistance program. Developed all policies, forms, and procedures
 Optimized visibility through development of a 30-minute PowerPoint presentation used in orientation for the student assistance program.

PROJECT MANAGER
Led community-based human services planning program focused on increasing efficiency, consolidating programs, and reducing service redundancies throughout agencies. Led team through strategic planning and refocusing efforts and teamed with agency executive directors to address/implement solutions for issues including those related to housing, transportation, behavioral health, early child education, and basic and emergency services. Managed data collection, wrote grant applications, and authored a comprehensive 2-year program update used to make funding and program decisions.
 Improved funding efforts, as well as service coordination among human service agencies; strategically leveraged limited dollars by decreasing duplicate funding.
 Enabled better measurement and decision-making on future actions through delivery of a report card that developed baseline service levels.

Prepared and administered budgets, monitored spending, and ensured adherence to project plans and goals.
 Ensured continued funding by successfully implementing requirements of 2 federal grants for 5+ years; size of each grant increased by 150% or more.
 Recognized with President’s Award as part of team that managed Association in the absence of an Executive Director.
 Improved access to employment opportunities through creation of a rural healthcare job bank.
