Third English Student Wins 2010 Fulbright Award

Congratulations to Meera Bhardwaj on being the fourth Nebraska Wesleyan University student or alum to win Fulbright award this year.  Meera will graduate in May 2010 with a major in English and minors in French and Psychology.

Meera will spend 2010-2011 teaching English in Cameroon.  As an NWU student, Meera has taken several trips to Africa: she did collaborative research with Prof. Gerise Herndon in Rwanda, she studied abroad in Senegal, and she did service work  in Malawi as a member of Global Service Learning (GSL).

This year, English students or alumni accounted for three of NWU's four Fulbrights.  Last year, all four NWU Fulbright winners were English students (three English majors and one English minor).
