Touch of Class Jazz Choir Plans Spring Concert Tour
Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Touch of Class Jazz Choir will perform a concert of jazz favorites during its upcoming concert tour stop in the local area.
The jazz choir tour begins April 21 in Arvada, Colo. and will conclude with a concert in Seward, Neb. on April 24.
The program will include jazz favorites like “All Of Me,” “It Could Happen To You,” and “Meet the Flintstones.” Other selections include “The Lord Is My Shepherd,” “Jubilate Deo,” “Tuxedo Junction” and “Java Jive.” In addition, the jazz choir will be among the first to perform the new piece “Broken Hearted Blues.”
Touch of Class is comprised of 11 vocalists and three instrumentalists. The ensemble performs throughout the Midwest and has performed in Ohio, Arizona, Texas, Minnesota and California. Members often give clinics and perform concerts for school groups, churches and conventions. Touch of Class is directed by Boyd Bacon, a published composer and arranger who has taught at Nebraska Wesleyan University for 22 years.
In addition to its spring concert tour, the ensemble will participate in the Greeley Jazz Festival hosted by the University of Northern Colorado.

Wednesday, April 21 7:30 p.m., Arvada United Methodist Church, 6750 Carr Street, Arvada, Colo. Free-will offering
Friday, April 23 - CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW STORM 7:30 p.m., Christ Episcopal Church, 615 4th Street, Castle Rock, Colo. Free-will offering
Saturday, April 24 8 p.m., Seward United Methodist Church, 1400 North 5th Street, Seward, Neb. Free-will offering
