Bookstore to Launch Book Rental Program Next Semester
Beginning next fall, students will have the opportunity to rent their textbooks from the Prairie Wolves Bookstore.
The process will be as easy as “rent, use and return.” NWU students can simply choose to rent textbooks when available, use them all semester and return them on or before the last day of finals for that term. All that is required for renting textbooks is a valid debit or credit card.
New and used textbook rental prices will be a percentage of the new retail price. Not all textbooks will be available for rent. Books not used in consecutive fall/winter/spring terms and workbooks are excluded from this program. The list of textbooks available for rent will continue to grow if professors agree to adopt their textbooks for two years.
Renting textbooks could cut students’ cost in half — rented textbooks will save up to 50 percent off the cost of a new book on the majority of rentals.
For questions regarding book rental, contact Kathy Crawford in the Prairie Wolves Bookstore at 465.2293.
