Organizers for Nebraska Wesleyan University's annual Relay For Life say they are short of meeting their team goal, and they need your help in making this year's fundraiser a success.
Nebraska Wesleyan's annual Relay For Life will run from 6 p.m. on Friday, April 9 to 6 a.m. on Saturday, April 10 in Knight Field House. Funds raised will go toward cancer research. This year's Relay For Life goal is to raise $40,000 and have 60 teams participate.
Several activities have been planned through the Relay For Life event including games, contests and music by the faculty/staff band "Release Time."
Organizers say faculty and staff who sign up for a team are not expected walk during the entire 12 hours of the event.
"We understand and respect that you have other obligations and activities," said NWU's Relay For Life Public Relations Chair Laurel Butler. "We would appreciate any participation in helping us reach our goals."
For questions about signing up or joining a team, contact Tristan Darling, NWU Team Captain Chair at email@example.com.
