Beginning, Thursday, February 18, NWU students can pick up their free ticket to this year's Big Event featuring the band Recycled Percussion.
A ticket booth will be set up near the dining hall on Thursday, February 18 and Friday, February 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A ticket booth will also be set up in Great Hall on February 25-26 and again on March 3-4. Tickets will also be available in the Center for Student Involvement.
Recycled Percussion's insane live performance is considered to be the peak of on-stage percussion extremity. The group took third place in 2009 on the NBC hit show "America's Got Talent." They are now starring at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The group performs on everything from signature trash kits including plastic buckets, huge ladders and mortar casings and incorporates spark-emitting, masterfully played power tools while accompanied by a mind-blowing beatbox vocal artillery session and chest-crushing, power-driven drumming.
Big Event will be held Friday, March 5 at 8 p.m. in O'Donnell Auditorium. Beginning March 1, tickets will be made available to the general public for $15.
