Nominations Needed for Exemplary Teacher Award
The Division of Higher Education of the Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church has invited Nebraska Wesleyan to continue in the Exemplary Teacher Award program.
This award includes a certificate from the Board, a stipend of $500, and recognition by the Nebraska Wesleyan campus community.
Nominations may be submitted by any faculty member. Nominating letters may be accompanied by appropriate supporting materials.
Normally, the nominees are full-time faculty members (long-term part-time faculty members may be considered).
The following criteria are to be considered:
- excellence in teaching
- civility and concern for students and colleagues
- commitment to value-centered education
- service to students, the institution, the community, or church
Nominations should be submitted to the provost who works with the Faculty Development Committee to make a recommendation to the president for final selection.
The nomination deadline is Friday, September 14.
