Nebraska Wesleyan University theatre will present Ken Ludwig’s comedy “Lend Me A Tenor.”
The play follows famous tenor Tito Merelli. Before his next performance, his wife discovers an autograph-seeker in his hotel room, takes her for a secret lover and leaves him. A distraught Merelli is accidently given a double dose of tranquilizers to calm him and he passes out. But the show must go on, so an assistant disguises himself as Merelli. It works well until Merelli awakes and heads for the stage.
“Lend Me A Tenor” will be performed August 30-September 1 and September 6-8 at 7:30 p.m., and September 2 and 9 at 2 p.m. All shows will be performed in McDonald Theatre, located at 51st and Huntington Ave.
Admission is $10 for adults, $7.50 for senior citizens, and $5 for students. Purchase tickets online or reserve them by calling 402.465.2384.
