Are You Up to the Challenge? 3000 Hour Service Challenge

This semester, Global Service Learning and Student Affairs Senate are teaming up and challenging the rest of the student body to donate 3000 hours of service. That's just 2 hours per student! Organizations all over Lincoln have multiple opportunities for volunteer work. Many of them also have opportunities for a group to come by and help them out. Grab your friends and head over to one of these great organizations!

LINCOLN CHILDREN’S ZOO
Many group opportunities available! If your group is interested,

• Click on the Group Volunteer Application link
• Fill out the application and send to Adam Rhoads at arhoads@lincolnzoo.org
• Adam will then contact you regarding your volunteer experience

NORTHEAST FAMILY CENTER
• Help the Center do a deep clean of three rooms at their location. Painting opportunities may also be available.

VOICES OF HOPE
Bowl-a-thon – Saturday March 31st – Kickoff to Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April)
• Distribute t-shirts, help register participants from 3:00-4:00
• If interested in bowling, fee is $25/bowler, fee includes 2 frames of bowling, shoes, snack and t-shirt
• See attached flyer if interested in bowling
• Teams needed - Email jcounty for registration form

PEOPLE’S CITY MISSION
Homeless Prevention Center
• Open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Located at 2102 N Street
• Unload, sort, and shelve items to be distributed
• Distribute food

Health Clinic
• Put your background in the medical, dental and vision fields to work
• Open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Contact Kris at 402-817-0980 if interested
People’s City Mission
• Help with preparation in the kitchen, serve food, help with cleaning the facilities, work with maintenance to improve conditions
• Evening childcare opportunities also available**
