You can help ensure that we recognize important alumni achievements by nominating someone for the Alumni Association’s recognition effort.
The Alumni Association Recognition Committee reviews submissions for possible recognition in online and Archways profiles, and selects award recipients in the categories noted below.
Medal of Honor/Distinguished Alumni Award
Recognizes alumni who embody the ideals of Nebraska Wesleyan through community and vocational achievement.
Alumni Humanitarian Award
Recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to the status and well-being of others and who have been actively engaged in promoting human and social reforms that foster the alleviation of suffering, discrimination or injustice. It recognizes persons whose lives and actions have been devoted selflessly to serving others, without consideration of personal gain or risk, and whose influence and commitment have impacted lives locally, statewide, nationally or internationally.
Alumni Loyalty Award
Recognizes significant involvement and service to Nebraska Wesleyan University. Consideration is given to a broad range of class years.
Alumni Achievement Award
Recognizes significant vocational achievement and community involvement. Consideration is given to a broad range of class years.
Alumni Association Distinguished Friend Award
Recognizes individuals who, though not alumni of Nebraska Wesleyan, have demonstrated a level of dedication and service to the university and the Alumni Association that warrants special recognition.
Awards are presented at the Legends and Legacies award dinner scheduled during Homecoming.
