NWU Ready For Friendly Shoe Collection Competition
What school has more sole?
We’re hoping it’s Nebraska Wesleyan University but we’re about to find out when NWU faces Doane College in a friendly shoe collection competition.
From Tuesday, April 22 through Friday, April 25, collection bins will be available in all academic buildings. Shoes of all sizes, types and conditions will be accepted and donated to the People’s City Mission. NWU will compete with Doane to see which institution can collect the most pairs of shoes. If NWU wins, President Fred Ohles will host an all-campus ice cream social.
Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Student Affairs Senate was contacted earlier this year by a Doane College student organization. Both groups agreed that a friendly competition would yield great results for the People’s City Mission.
