Opera Scenes to Feature "Poisons and Daggers" Theme
Nebraska Wesleyan University’s music students will perform some of opera’s most famous death and mad scenes when they present the annual Opera Scenes program.
Opera scenes will be held November 18-19 at 7:30 p.m. in O’Donnell Auditorium, located at 50th Street and Huntington Ave.
Music will include the final scene of “Romeo and Juliet,” Ophelia’s mad scene from “Hamlet,” Lucia’s mad scene from “Lucia di Lammermoor,” a scene from “Tosca,” and light-hearted scenes from “Hansel and Gretel” and “Cosi fan Tutte.”
