Cabaret Weekend Includes Music From New Millennium; Sunday Dinner Theatre
Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Theatre Department will present a weekend cabaret themed “Broadway in the New Millennium.”
Music will be performed from popular productions like “Book of Mormon,” “Ghost,” “Priscilla Queen of the Desert,” “9 To 5,” “American Idiot,” and other contemporary musicals.
Performances will be held April 12-14 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee performance on April 14 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the Studio Theatre, located at 2710 N. 48th Street, two blocks west of the NWU campus. Free parking is available behind the building.
Every performance is different in its combination of songs and stories.
Admission is $5, and tickets can be reserved by calling the theatre box office at 402.465.2384 or order online.
The April 14, 7:30 p.m. cabaret performance will be unique. As part of his senior project, student Darrin Bergers will blend his love for theatre and his culinary expertise by offering refreshments as part of the performance. To enjoy a drink (soda, coffee, tea or water) and appetizers provided by Granite City, pay an additional $5 at the door.
