RN to BSN

Submitted by Nancy Osborn on Thu, 03/21/2013 - 1:27pm.

I am interested in RN to BSN program but work full time as school nurse and health careers teacher at Harlan Comm. Schools. I would not be able to travel to courses and would prefer online classes. Is the RN to BSN program mostly online, or do they meet weekly etc? I just need some more information. My Associate Degree in Nursing I got at CSM in Omaha and my secondary teaching certification in Health Occupations was through Iowa State. I have transcripts already for both.
Thanks! Nancy Osborn, RN

RN to BSN format

Submitted by Melissa McCoy on Fri, 03/22/2013 - 1:54pm.

Hi, Nancy.

Our RN to BSN program is mostly classroom based. We do offer a few courses entirely online and a number of courses are hybrid, meaning you don't come to class every week -- some weeks you would do online work. All the classes are 8 weeks long so even those classes that are entirely in the classroom and include some clinical experiences only last for two months.

Please let us know if you think that sort of format is workable. Or, feel free to give us a call at 402-465-7539 if you'd like more information.

Melissa McCoy
