Volunteers Needed to Help With Upcoming Lincoln Marathon
Volunteers are needed to help NWU's Health and Human Performance Department run an aid station at the Lincoln Marathon on Sunday, May 5.
Volunteers dispense encouragement, water, ice, oranges, and sport aid, to the 10,000 runners. The aid station is located at 27th Street and Highway 2 along the bike path (mile 8 of the race).
Approximately 60 volunteers are needed In order to successfully run the station. Volunteers will work from 5:30 to 9:30 a.m. All volunteers will receive a free marathon tshirt for their help. Volunteers are asked to wear NWU clothing during their shift.
Those interested are asked to contact Pat Pettit by Friday, April 12.
Those who volunteer can count your hours toward the 12,500 Hour Service Challenge.
