Social Work Department to Celebrate Successes of Current Students and Alumni
Faculty in the Social Work Department will celebrate the successes of its current students and alumni with a "Celebrate the Power of Social Work" open house.
The event will be held Tuesday, March 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Great Hall, located on the main level of the Smith-Curtis Administration Building.
Attendees will hear from current faculty, learn about the new social work undergraduate program in Omaha, meet current social work students who are local and national scholarship winners, and hear from alumni who will share stories of their social work in the community.
Features speakers will include: Kierstin Reed, Nebraska 2012 Social Worker of the Year; Nebraska State Senator Kate Bolz, MSW; and Terry Werner, BSW, E.D. of NASW-NE.
