NWU Plans Family-Friendly Halloween Activities

Nebraska Wesleyan University is hosting two upcoming safe and family-friendly Halloween events.

On Thursday, October 25, trick-or-treaters are invited to wear their costumes and come to the Willard Sorority parking lot at 5110 Madison Ave. From 6 to 7:30 p.m., participants can paint faces, paint pumpkins, trick-or-treat, and enjoy homemade treats.

From 8:30 to 10 p.m., participants are invited to a haunted house at Omega Alpha Chi Fraternity, located at 50th & Madison Ave.

Cost for these events is $5 and all proceeds will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for low-income students at nearby Huntington Elementary School.

On Wednesday, October 31, families are invited to trick-or-treat on the NWU campus. From 4 to 6 p.m., participants can meet at the tent at 50th and Huntington Ave., where they will receive a treat bag and a map to university residence halls and Greek houses that will be open for trick-or-treating. Free cookies and cocoa will be served.
