Would you like to get involved with the Parents' Council?
The Nebraska Wesleyan University Parents’ Council is a group of parents who provide advice and assistance to Nebraska Wesleyan administrators from a parent’s prospective.
By virtue of having a son or daughter attend Nebraska Wesleyan University, parents are automatically members of the NWU Parents’ Council. Some parents decide to participate more actively than others and we hope that your schedule will permit you to be among that group.
The Council meets once each semester, and this year’s meetings are scheduled for October 23, 2010, in the Weary Center’s All American Room and April 9, 2011, in the Story Student Center.
Past agendas have included residential facilities and policies, parent/University communication, campus health and safety, counseling, international experiences, service learning, classroom issues, religious and spiritual life, academic expectations, technology, athletics, campus security, and Greek life. Members also suggest programs and materials for NWU parents, and serve as members of the New Student Registration (NSR) parent panels.
