Nebraska Wesleyan University will stage its second musical production of the new theatre year with Reefer Madness.
The boisterous musical is a tongue-in-cheek reinterpretation of the 1936 film warning against the pitfall of reefer madness. When clean-cut kids fall victim to marijuana, bedlam ensues. The audience will follow the characters down a spiral of sex, violence, and godless jazz. This production is not recommended for young audiences.
Performances will be held August 19-21 and August 26-28 at 7:30 p.m. with 2 p.m. performances on August 22 and August 29. All shows will be performed at McDonald Theatre, 51st Street and Huntington Ave.
Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for senior citizens, and $7.50 for students. For tickets contact the theatre box office at 402.465.2384.
