Nebraska Wesleyan University is expanding its offerings at its Omaha site with a new degree in organizational communication.

Starting this summer adult students can enroll in Wesleyan Advantage classes that will culminate with a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational communication. The degree is designed to help students develop oral, written and interpersonal communication, as well as critical thinking and problem solving.

“The program is targeted at managers and business professionals who don’t necessarily want to pursue a business degree,” said Laura Gravatt, Assistant Director for Recruitment and Corporate Relations for Wesleyan Advantage.

Organizational Communication is an accelerated degree program with multiple start dates and course formats, which allow students greater flexibility, said Gravatt. Classes are typically held one night a week in five- and eight-week sessions. In addition to required communication courses, students will choose courses in one of three specialization areas including human resources, public relations or project management.

Nebraska Wesleyan has offered classes at its Omaha site since 2003. Located at 11815 M Street, Wesleyan Advantage also offers degrees and certificates in project management, business administration and nursing. For more information about Wesleyan Advantage programs in Omaha, call 402.827.3555.
