Often, NWU will offer access to trial databases and temporary resources. These are usually databases which we are considering purchasing for our patrons' use.
We invite you to try them out and then give us your feedback. The availability of the resource will be posted along with its link.

Beginning May 1st, the library has a 30-day trial

The library now has a 30-day trial subscription to the full-text database ScienceDirect from Elsevier. The
database provides indexing and full-text access to more than 2,000 journals, reference books, book series, and handbooks. Our trial subscription limits full-text availability to Elsevier publications--journals
known both for their high quality and their incomparable pricing.
Oxford English Dictionary - current trial through May 23rd.
The New Palgrave Dictionary of Economics - current trial through May 2008. The trial version of the New Palgrave Dictionary of Economics contains the full text of the 2008 print edition (8 volume set). It offers excellent search and browse facilities which make it possible to explore the contents with great speed and ease.
