Federal Perkins Loan Program

If you have been awarded a Federal Perkins Loan award for the academic year 2007-2008. You must complete the following 4 steps.    

• Complete - Online Entrance Counseling

• Complete and Return -Master Promissory Note - As you complete the promissory note, you will notice that the interest rate on the loan is fixed at 5% and the loan does not accrue interest while you are enrolled as at least a half time student.  This is a separate obligation from any Stafford and/or Unsubsidized Stafford Loan that you may apply for.  The most unique features of this Perkins Loan Program are the various cancellation benefits described in Sections A-H on your promissory note.

• Complete and Return-Pre-Loan Information

 Should you decide you do not want to utilize the Perkins Loan to help defray your educational costs, you MUST decline the award so that the funds reserved in your name can be awarded to another student.

 PLEASE NOTE - PERKINS FUNDS WILL NOT BE DISBURSED UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE REQUIRED INFORMATION.
