Approximately 120 faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of Nebraska Wesleyan University joined President Fred Ohles and Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert on August 12 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating NWU's new Omaha location.

In June NWU moved its satellite office to the seventh floor of the First National Bank Building, located near 140th and Dodge. The new location provides the university with over 12,000 square feet of classrooms, study areas, administrative offices and event space to accommodate those enrolled in the six bachelor's degree and four master's degree programs. The university's Omaha site serves 250 students.

At the August 12 ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees toured the space and were welcomed by Mayor Stothert along with representatives from the Omaha Chamber of Commerce and First National Bank.

In 2004 Nebraska Wesleyan opened an Omaha location with three programs offered in a 4,500-square foot space. Eight students enrolled at the time.

In Omaha NWU now offers the new MBA program, MSN-MBA joint degree, MSN to MBA Bridge Program, and programs in business, criminal justice, health science, nursing, organizational communication and social work. The site also provides more space for alumni events and undergraduate activities.
