scholar, author to discuss faith-based rehabilitation
LINCOLN, Neb. — A scholar and author on religious freedom and discourse will give an upcoming lecture at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Winnifred Fallers Sullivan, author and Associate Professor of Law and Director of the Law and Religion Program at the University at Buffalo Law School-SUNY, will speak April 10. Her presentation titled, “Prison Religion: Faith-Based Rehabilitation in the 21st Century,” will begin at 1 p.m. in Callen Conference Center.
Sullivan often writes about the intersection of religion and law and has authored The Impossibility of Religious Freedom and Pay the Words Extra: Religious Discourse in the Supreme Court of the United States.
Her presentation is free and open to the public. Callen Conference Center is located on the lower level of the Smith-Curtis Classroom Administration Building, one block east of 50th Street and St. Paul Ave.
