Nebraska Wesleyan to perform dark comedy, lieutenant of inishmore

LINCOLN, Neb. —A new hit play by Academy Award winner Martin McDonagh will be performed on the Nebraska Wesleyan University stage in November.

Lieutenant of Inishmore is the story about an Irish Liberation Army officer who discovers that someone has killed his cat. He’ll want to know who when he gets back from a stint of torture and chip-shop bombing in Northern Ireland. He loves his cat more than life itself, and someone is going to pay. The story builds to a stunning surprise that haS audiences laughing in disbelief.

Performances will be held November 1-3 and November 8-10 at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances will be held on November 4 and November 11 at 2 p.m. in McDonald Theatre, located at 51st Street and Huntington Ave. Admission is $10 for adults, $7.50 for students 12-18 years and senior citizens, and $5 for youth under 12 years.
