WESLEYAN STUDENT awarded undergraduate fellowship
LINCOLN, Neb. — A Nebraska Wesleyan University
student has been selected as one of 70 undergraduate fellows by
the Fund for Theological Education (FTE).
On Tuesday, October 14, Tyler Wilterding of Lincoln
was named an undergraduate fellow to assist with a career in ministry.
To qualify, undergraduate fellows must hold a 3.0 cumulative grade
point average and demonstrate gifts for leadership and strong Christian
faith.
Each recipient receives a monetary award to be
used for educational expenses or for a special project to explore
ministry. FTE also provides a stipend for a mentoring project to
further investigate ministry in partnership with a professor, pastor
or other guiding adult.
FTE has awarded some 5,000 fellowships since 1954.
Wilterding is the only Nebraska student to receive the honor.
