SPEAKER TO ADDRESS "THE HISTORY OF HELL
FROM THE BIBLE TO DANTE"
LINCOLN, Neb. —“The History of Hell
From The Bible To Dante” will be the topic of Dr. Alan Berstein’s
presentation at Nebraska Wesleyan University on Thursday, September
11.
Berstein, a professor of medieval history at the
University of Arizona, is the author of “The Formation of
Hell.” His presentation will begin at 1 p.m. in Callen Conference
Center, located in the lower level of the Smith-Curtis Administration
Building, one block east of 50th and St. Paul.
Berstein’s presentation is part of the Mattingly
Visiting Distinguished Scholars Program, named for Dr. E.L. Mattingly,
professor emeritus of religion, in recognition of his service to
Nebraska Wesleyan and its students.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
