NEBRASKA WESLEYAN FRATERNITY
RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION
LINCOLN, Neb. — A fraternity at Nebraska Wesleyan
University is being recognized nationally for its success.
The Omicron Chapter of Zeta Psi International Fraternity
has been honored with the Award of Distinction from the North-American
Interfraternity Conference. One of only three chapters in the United
States receive this prestigious recognition. The chapter will be
presented the award at their Founders Banquet in Lincoln on April
5th.
The chapter was selected from a very competitive
pool of nominations. Of particular distinction was the chapter’s
consistency of excellence throughout is history. The Omicron chapter
has been recognized by its national organization with the top chapter
designation for 10 out of the last 12 years.
The chapter was highly touted in its many nomination
and recommendation letters. Zeta Psi Executive Director Richard
Breeswine called the chapter "the benchmark of other chapter’s
success."
The chapter’s nomination was also supported
by Nebraska Wesleyan University President Jeanie Watson. President
Watson commented on the "rich source of student leadership"
that the chapter offers the school.
"This is a group with a long and strong tradition
of involvement on our campus, and I believe that they deserve to
be recognized for that effort," Watson said.
