Nebraska Wesleyan Students Selected for
Modern Languages
LINCOLN, Neb. Twenty-one Nebraska
Wesleyan University students were recently selected for the Nebraska
Wesleyan chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma, the national honor society in
modern languages. The students were recognized for this honor during
Wesleyan's Honors Convocation on May 10.
To be eligible for membership in Alpha
Mu Gamma, a student must have completed modern language courses
at the fourth semester-level or above, maintaining a 3.67 grade
point average (on a 4.0 scale), and have an overall GPA of 3.0.
The purpose of the honorary is to recognize linguistic achievement,
encourage an interest in modern languages, literature and culture,
and further the ideals of international friendship and empathetic
understanding of other persons.
