Nebraska Art Teachers Association Announces
Winners of Undergraduate Competition
LINCOLN, Neb. The Nebraska Art Teachers Association
(NATA) recently announced the winners of its annual undergraduate
all-media competition exhibition.
The exhibition, which features the works of more
than 50 undergraduate artists, opened on February 24 at Nebraska
Wesleyan Universitys Elder Gallery. The exhibition is on display
through Thursday, March 14.
Winning Best of Show at the competition was University
of Nebraska-Lincoln student Andrew Hershey. Second Best of Show
Honors were awarded to Ronda Dibbern of Hastings College.
Receiving Honorable Mention awards were Michaela
Oltman, Concordia University, and Traci Osborn, Metropolitan Community
College.
Jackie Eihausen of the University of Nebraska at
Omaha won the Student NATA Member Award.
Dr. Daniel A. Siedell, curator of Sheldon Memorial
Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden in Lincoln, served as juror for
the competition.
Elder Gallery is located in the Rogers Center for
Fine Arts, 50th Street and Huntington Avenue. The gallery is open
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and
Sunday. All exhibits are free and open to the public. Gallery director,
