Guidelines and Procedures:

  • CORE Award nominations can be made by any employee for any employee of the NWU faculty and staff.

  • Nominations can be made by filling out this form.

  • Each nomination must be approved by the division leader, department chair or supervisor.

  • Nominations pre-approved by the division leader, department chair or supervisor will be given to the Human Resource Advisory Committee (HRC) for review.

  • The Human Resource Advisory Committee (HRC) reviews the nomination and advances recommendation for award if it meets the C.O.R.E. criteria to the President.

  • The President approves HRC recommendations for awards.

  • Once an award is approved, there will be an announcement of the employee(s) who have been given the award(s) at a monthly staff meeting by the employee’s supervisor, or a designee.

  • If a large number of nominations are received, more than one reward may be given during a month, or awards can be given in subsequent months.

All nominations are confidential until awarded. Please do not reveal your nomination to your nominee.

The Golden Service Award promotes Nebraska Wesleyan's core values by recognizing and rewarding a group of 3 or more individuals (staff or faculty) collaborating on a project that will provide benefit, recognition to the university or enhances university compliance efforts.  Nominations for the group will demonstrate cross-departmental collaborations, where the efforts and contributions as a group significantly exceed expectations in demonstrating or promoting one or more of those values: excellence, liberal arts, and personal attention to students, diversity, community, and stewardship. Recognition for individuals can review the nomination criteria for the C.O.R.E. Award.

Please remember nominations are confidential. Please do not reveal your nomination to your nominee.
