Annual Fund > Frequently Asked Questions

How is my gift to the Alumni Fund and the Alumni Phonathon used?
The Alumni Fund and gifts pledged during our bi–yearly Phonathon are part of the Annual Fund. Both address the needs of operating Nebraska Wesleyan’s educational programs. The Annual Fund name provides a broader umbrella for the many non–alumni who actively support Nebraska Wesleyan University.

What if I wish to make more than one gift each year?
Typically, when you make an Annual Fund gift you will not receive additional direct mail solicitations within that same fiscal year (June 1 to May 31). If you wish to make more than one gift within a year you may use the secure online donation option or you may prefer the convenience of providing an ongoing donation through an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

When I submit a credit card donation, will it be billed to my account that same day?
Your credit card will be billed within one week from the date you submit an online donation.

What is a “matching gift?”
Many employers encourage their employees to donate to worthwhile charities by offering to match any charitable gift. Check with your employer’s human resource department to see if this is available to you.

May I make a gift online if it is part of a matching gift program?
Yes, simply fill out the form under the “Donate” section of the site, making sure to select “yes” in the box under “Matching Gift Information.” After you submit the online form, print a copy of it and send along with your company’s matching gift form to:
