Dr. McClain received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas in 1993, and has been an NWU faculty member since 1993. Dr. McClain teaches both American and British Literature, specializing in the 19th and 20th centuries; he also teaches The Chicano Novel, and courses on critical theory, including Ways of Reading. Dr. McClain has taught Liberal Arts Seminars on Popular Music, and Generation X.
