In July, 2000, Dr. Roger Cognard and Dr. Anne Cognard led a group of 19 students from NWU, as well as students and teachers from area high schools and other colleges, on a trip to London and Stratford. During the trip, the students got a chance to visit the rebuilt Globe Theatre, meet Shakespearean actors, visit Shakespearean sites, and enrich their understanding of British Literature through experiencing British culture.
One of NWU's most popular study abroad trips, English 270 is a favorite of both English majors and non-majors who have taken the trip. Many participants identify the trip's combination of academic, theatrical, and intercultural experience as a highlight of their NWU career.
For information on this or other international study opportunities available to NWU students, see the website of the International Education program.
