Wesleyan Communication Association
WCA is a student organization promoting communication study.
Lambda Pi Eta is the officially recognized national communication honor society for all colleges and universities. Nebraska Wesleyan adopted Lambda Pi Eta as its honor organization in 2001.
The membership of Lambda Pi Eta is composed of undergraduate students who have demonstrated academic excellence in the field of Communication. Specifically, students must have:
• Completed 60 semester credit hours with at least a 3.0 GPA • Completed at least 15 credit hours in communication courses with a 3.5 GPA
• Ranking in the top 35% of their graduating class
The purposes of Lambda Pi Eta are:
• To recognize, foster and reward outstanding scholastic achievement in Communication Studies;
• To stimulate interest in the field of Communication
• To promote and encourage professional development among Communication majors
• To provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas in the field of Communication
• To establish and maintain closer relationships and mutual understanding between Communication faculty and students
• To explore options for graduate education in Communication
