Jim Jorgensen is a new incoming Assistant Professor at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He will be teaching Acting, Movement, and Shakespeare.
Prior to joining the faculty he has lived and worked as a professional actor in the various regional markets for over 23 years including: Washington DC, Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, and Houston and has performed in summer theatre festivals indoor and outdoor in San Antonio Texas, Cedar City Utah, Moscow Idaho, Oberlin Ohio. His on-camera experience ranges from episodic guest star spots on Walker Texas Ranger, independent feature films to national commercials and industrial films.
He also was both Managing Director and Company actor of New Theatre Company an awarding winning theatre out of Dallas, Texas for over seven years.
As a teacher, he was on the acting faculty at KD Studio’s Actors Conservatory of the Southwest in Dallas TX, and taught Acting, Shakespeare, Script Analysis, and Voice. He has served both as director and acting coach on a variety of productions both professionally and collegiately.
He holds a MFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and a BS in Secondary Education from University of Nebraska.
