Grants & Endowments

70% of Wesleyan's students receive some kind of need-based financial aid each year. With demonstrated financial need, you can qualify for generous grants and endowed scholarships, which do not need to be repaid after graduation.

Academic Competitiveness Grant
Amount:
$750 for first year students, $1,300 for second year students
Criteria:
Must be eligible for the Pell Grant and have completed a rigorous high school program of study and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA
   
Wesleyan Grants and Endowed Scholarships
Amount: Each year, Wesleyan awards approximately $3 million in grants and endowed scholarships.
Criterion: Eligibility from FAFSA information according to the Federal Department of Education formula
   
Pell Grant
Amount: Up to $4,310 per year for 2007-08
Criterion: Eligibility from FAFSA information according to the Federal Department of Education formula
   
Federal Supplementary Educational Opportunity Grant
Amount: $200 to $1,000 per year (average annual award of $500)
Criterion: Must be eligible for the Pell Grant
   
Nebraska State Grants
Amount: Amounts vary based on state appropriations.
Criteria: Must be eligible for the Pell Grant and SAP and PEAP require Nebraska residency
   
SMART Grant
Amount: $4,000
Criteria: Must be a junior or senior with at least a 3.0 GPA and a major in physical or life sciences, computer science, engineering, mathematics or technology. Must be eligible for the Pell Grant.
