Tuesday: Bring your lunch and hear an inspiring vision of eradicating homelessness in Lincoln. Interested in working for a non-profit or running one some day? Susanne Blue, Executive Director of Matt Talbot Kitchen, will speak about her work. Matt Talbot Kitchen's (www.mtkserves.org) mission is to "serve the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of Lincoln's working poor and homeless through outreach, education, advocacy and provision of food and shelter." Come hear about her unique experiences working and serving Lincoln. The brown-bag lunch begins at noon in the Chapel.
Wednesday: Brown bag it and learn about homelessness in Lincoln. Chris Webster has been working and engaging with homeless youth in Nebraska for over 15 years. Chris started working at a non-profit in Lincoln and then found his passion working with homeless youth and their families. He delivers a message of hope and miraculous recovery through stories of those who have overcome. This brown-bag lunch begins at noon in Alabaster Lounge.
Thursday: A donation drive will be held on Thursday, October. 8, October 15 and October 22. This effort will help supply Project Homeless Connect with clothing and other personal items. Designated carts will be set up outside the dining hall and in Great Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Volunteer to help at Lincoln Project Homeless Connect on Friday, October 23. The Lincoln Homeless Coalition, in conjunction with numerous agencies around Lincoln, is organizing a Project Homeless Connect event for our city. This is the first year of the event, and it is being modeled after numerous other Project Homeless Connect events held across the United States. This is an exciting event that brings together a myriad of services and information to one place in hopes of connecting homeless with the assistance they need.
