Burt North Residential Community is located next to Plainsman Hall. This is a unique facility in that the residents of Burt North share the southern portion of the building with University College. Burt North is a co-educational facility housing a small number of high achieving first year students. The residents of Burt North are academically focused and self-governing. All of the rooms were refurbished in the summer of 2004. The rooms come with loftable beds, carpet, and window air-conditioning units. In the summer of 2006 a new kitchen was created on the first floor next to the community lounge.
