Resources in the Career and Counseling Center
Alumni Career Assistance Network
The Career Assistance Network (CAN) consists of more than 1,100 Wesleyan alumni who offer you an excellent opportunity for exploring career options. Please note that this service is only available from computers located on the NWU campus. If you cannot access a campus computer, contact the Career and Counseling Center for assistance.

CAN can be used in a variety of ways:

  • Search through the profiles of alumni by major to see what Wesleyan graduates have done with their academic backgrounds;
  • Contact alumni by e-mail, phone, or in person to visit about their careers, their employers, or their graduate school experiences;
  • Shadow an alum for a day to see what their work and workplace is really like.

Career Library
The career library in the Career and Counseling Center has a number of books which explore career options related to specific majors. Books can be checked out for two days.

Undergraduate Major Mentors
Each academic department at Nebraska Wesleyan has selected upperclass representatives to visit with students about their academic majors and the career fields they are pursuing. Click on the link above to see a listing of advisors, their majors, and their e-mail addresses. A list of questions is provided to guide you in interviewing an Undergraduate Major Mentor, whether in person or by e-mail.
